Wedding DIY Documentation
Dwelling on our wedding for a second here before baby arrives and steals the show! I seriously had the BEST time with designing and making the invites, gifts, website, graphics, and illustrations.
First things first – made a color palette. Neutrals and leafy greens!
Next made a drawing of us incorporating those colors. I drew this on iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil and Procreate app.
Also created a pattern with graphics of things we like!
All the elements first came together with the wedding invitations. Us and the info on one side, pattern on the other side. I ordered square postcards with gold foil from moo.com and then bought some matching envelopes from Paper Source.
For our wedding guestbook, we wanted to make a poster for our families to sign, with everyone in attendance’s names on it like artists listed on a concert or music festival poster. We used the guestbook image for our program graphic as well.
Various illustrations for our email invites, Zoom graphics, etc.
Custom stickers from moo! And custom fabric from spoonflower.
Family gifts – custom masks, gift box, magnet, hand sanitizer.
Also made a “just married” banner to hang up at home and take on our honeymoon, although it was a little too windy in the Alvord Desert for our sign to be legible in any way, haha.
The end!
Post-Wedding Photo Shoot
Due to COVID, our original wedding photographer couldn't shoot at our indoor ceremony. We decided to have a separate outdoor photoshoot earlier the wedding day, which was unfortunately delayed because of wildfires, which was then delayed again due to equipment issues, but we finally got some pictures at Seward Park in late October.
Fun fact, baby is in these photos too even though we didn’t know it at the time!
